Recommendations that three of the Bay’s top cops be dismissed from their posts for insubordination have been set aside for a much lighter sanction.
Humewood station commander Brigadier Leonie Bentley, Gelvandale station commander Brigadier Lawrence Soekoe and deputy district commissioner for visible policing Brigadier Ronald Koll will be suspended without pay for two months.

Jaiprakash Associates suspends operations at plants in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh due to coronavirus Written by Global Cement staff

India: Jaiprakash Associates has suspended operations at its cement plants in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh from 1 May 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. The company say it will continue maintenance activities of these plants during this time. It described the situation as ‘dynamic’ and plans to resume operations after ongoing analysis. Can someone suggest what all signs I need to look our for my suspension assembly/shock absorbers/rubber mounts having given up on me? And whether 8 years is a good enough and acceptable time for the rubber mounts to become bad? I dont mind spending Rs 10-15k on the suspension assembly if it means my car is good to go for another 6 years without bothering my pocket much.I have a couple of experiences.
Alto K10 (40k kms 2014 model) - each time I take it to the A S S, I ask them about the suspension and shocks. They do a cursory push test for the shocks and declare them fine. There was an annoying squeak whenever the car moved, and since my wife insisted it be rectified, all the top mechanics set out to find and fix this minor problem
Other leaders who will be affected by the decision include former state security minister Bongani Bongo, former eThekwini mayor Zandile Gumede and ANC deputy chairperson Mike Mabuyakhulu.
The development is a victory for President Cyril Ramaphosa’s clean-up campaign. He campaigned on an anti-corruption ticket. The decision is expected to spark fierce debate at this weekend’s national executive committee (NEC) meeting starting on Saturday. Magashule’s backers are expected to mount a push back at this meeting. However, the decision is expected to be endorsed at the end because the Ramaphosa grouping is in the majority.
The affected members will have to update offices of secretaries in their provinces on their cases monthly and their suspension will be reviewed every six months.
The ANC national working committee has instructed the secretary-general’s office to issue suspension letters to leaders who are facing charges of corruption and other serious crimes, including party secretary-general Ace Magashule.
